The estimated cost of the translation is calculated based on the number of words, the type of document, the requested delivery time, and any additional services you select.
The prices displayed are estimates. The document must be reviewed before the final price and delivery time can be confirmed.
Word Count
Translations are charged in blocks of up to 250 words. Each 250-word block is treated as one billing page. When the word count exceeds a block, even by one word, the charge is rounded up to the next full block.
- Fewer than 150 words: minimum translation charge of €14.00
- 150 to 250 words: one billing page
- 251 to 500 words: two billing pages
- 501 to 750 words: three billing pages
For example, a document containing 300 words is charged as two 250-word billing pages. The minimum charge and the rates per billing page do not include additional services or VAT.

The price depends on the subject matter, terminology, complexity, and level of research required for the translation.

Simple Translation
A simple translation is one that does not normally contain extensive specialised terminology or require substantial additional research.

A specialised translation is the translation of a document containing technical or sector-specific terminology. This category may include legal documents, contracts, financial reports, accounting statements, medical reports, academic documents, and other professional texts.

Format and Intended Use of the Translation
Sworn Translation
A sworn translation is a translation prepared by a sworn translator registered under the Registration and Regulation of the Services of Sworn Translators in the Republic of Cyprus Law, N. 45(I)/2019.
Sworn translations are generally intended for submission to government departments, courts, universities, banks, employers, immigration authorities, and other organisations that require an officially certified translation.
Documents for Use Abroad
Requirements differ depending on the country and the organisation to which the document will be submitted. Before placing an order, you should confirm whether a sworn translation, an Apostille, consular legalisation, the original document, or another form of certification is required.
Acceptance of the translation by a foreign authority or organisation cannot be guaranteed unless the recipient’s specific requirements have been confirmed in advance.
Standard Digital Translation
Select a standard digital translation when the translated document is intended for general, professional, online, informational, or personal use and does not require the stamp or certification of a sworn translator.
The completed translation can be delivered electronically. A printed or certified copy is not included unless specifically requested.
Additional Options
Priority
Standard delivery does not include an additional urgency charge. Where availability permits, you may select a faster delivery option.

Express and lightning-speed services depend on the translator’s availability, the length of the document, the language combination, the formatting requirements, and the complexity of the content. The completion time is confirmed after the document has been reviewed and the order has been accepted.
Document Delivery
- Collection from the office or digital delivery: no additional charge
- Collection from a local ACS service point: €3.00
- Delivery to your address: €7.00
The delivery charge is applied once per order. Courier delivery time is separate from the translation completion time and may be affected by the operating hours and service area of ACS, Akis Express, or BoxNow.
Sworn Court Statement
A separate sworn court statement is not automatically included with a sworn translation. It should only be selected when specifically requested by the court, public authority, lawyer, or organisation to which the translation will be submitted.
The additional charge for a Sworn Court Statement is €10.00 per document.
VAT and Final Price
The translation price calculation first displays the net value of the translation and any additional charges you have selected. VAT at 19% is then calculated and added to the final amount.
The final breakdown includes:

- VAT at 19%
- Total amount including VAT
Important Information
The translation cost calculator provides an initial estimate based on the information you enter. The final quotation may change after the document has been reviewed, particularly when it contains specialised terminology, handwritten text, tables, complex formatting, poor-quality scans, or content requiring additional research.

What is the stamp duty?
Until 01.01.2026 all sworn translations were required to bear a 2,00 EUR stamp duty issued by the Government of the Republic of Cyprus. This is not the case anymore, as stamp duties have been discontinued.

Why do I have to pay extra for a specialised translation?
A specialised translation is a translation that requires additional research on the vocabulary or a translation that contains specialised terms. This category is usually reserved for medical reports, legal documents, contracts, finance, accounting and many more.
The reason you are paying extra for a specialised translation is because it contains terms specific to the subject of the translation (i.e medicine, law, finance, etc) and therefore requires additional research from the translator to avoid ambiguities and deliver the message to the expert as clearly as possible.
For example, if your doctor in Germany has written a report on your operation in German, using terms that even a German native speaker would not know, requires the translator to perform extensive research in medical journals, dictionaries and other medical resources in German to be able to reproduce the report in Greek and convey the same, important message to your doctor in Cyprus, without any ambiguities.
